Public Speaking Tip: Adapters

More and more people are using sound from their laptop as part of their presentation. It is a really good idea to have an adapter set with you because you just can't depend on A/V setups in many places to have what you need.

Sure most hotels with an A/V department can usually handle your needs, but what about the church, community center or chamber of commerce meeting center? You don't want to be stuck.

This quick tip section can't really tell you all the adapters and cords you need, but here's a short list and bare minimum.

Male Stereo Miniplug is usually what plugs into your laptop.

You might have to convert to:
1/4 inch male mono
Canon male or female
RCA male or female

If you don't have a clue what I'm talking about, then you may not be competent to save yourself when no one is around to help. Make a trip down to Radio Shack and take a copy of this article and have them put you together a small array of adapters so you'll be covered when the time comes.
