Public Speaking and Voice

I just suffered two bouts of strep throat and had to speak at two major events. Here's what I did:

I went to the emergency room and got antibiotics. Yes, I know the people who like natural health care would protest, but when you are the main event and hundreds of thousands of dollars are on the line . . . the show must go on.

I also drank tea, used Hall's throat lozenges, gargled with salt water, took Advil, drank Theraflu, drank lots of water and took lots of vitamin C.

My voice was virtually gone for one of the speeches at the Vegas convention center, but by using a handheld microphone and virtually jamming it in my mouth I was able to speak lower than usual, but still be heard.
